Curriculum Plan
Stamina & Endurance

Taking the course one step ahead, we work on improving lung capacity and build stamina with breathing exercises such as Flying Bird Breath and Box breathing. This course is about new adventures and learning new subjects through Yoga that work on improving stamina and endurance. We introduce intensive warm ups and dynamic variations of Yoga poses learnt in the Intermediate course such as variations in Setu Bandhasana, Dandasana, Ardha Pincha Mayurasana and Suryanamaskars.

Strength

We work on improving the back, arm and core strength by encouraging learners to hold the poses longer and also practice some advanced Yoga poses such as Eka Pada Chakarasana and Bhujapidasana to name a few. We bring in new challenging games and activities that would keep the learners engaged and motivated to practice the Yoga poses. We also work on strengthening the organs and muscles in the body by introducing the learners to the different body systems.

Flexibility With Advanced Asanas

Learners are now ready to challenge themselves and practise some new Yoga poses such as Yoga Mudrasana, Parivrtta Janu Shirshasana and Ardha Padma Paschimottanasana to name a few. We introduce the Chandra Namaskar that works on improving flexibility of the leg muscles. We also bring in advanced level variations of poses practiced in the intermedaite level.

Emotional Regulation

We introduce the learners to guided visulations and musical breathing that relax the body and helps the learners interpret their emotions and feelings. The visualizations allow learners to express their emotions and improve self awareness.

Focus & Attention

We improve focus and bring attention to the breath by learning new breathing exercises such as Rainbow Breathing and Full Yogic Breathing. We encourage the learners to hold all the yoga asanas longer thereby improving focus on alignment. Some challenging balancing Yoga poses such as Svarga Dvijasana and Chamatkarasana are practised that improve focus.
