Under this unit, we will work with a familiar and much loved theme for children while helping them find ways of moving inspired by creatures in nature. Thus relying on natural movement like - crawling, flapping wings, hopping, jumping, etc. Children will be introduced to the flow of the class through movement games, music, dances, focus work (breath, isolations, listening to rhythms) and stories. The sessions also aim at building a keen eye for observation and a deep sense of empathy for the magical ways in which the animal kingdom works.
Under this unit, we will explore the world of underwater, the magnificent creatures of the ocean, communities whose lives function around the water (fishermen, pirates, etc) and aim at building a deep sense of gratitude and empathy for the magical ways in which the water world works. We will be exploring floor movements (body rolls etc), fluid quality movements (waves, continual movement etc) and star formations with the body. Children will be introduced to the flow of the class through movement games, music, dances, focus work (breath, isolations, listening to rhythms) and stories.
Under this unit, we will explore movement through what gives us energy and sustenance - Food! We will look at the life cycle of a plant through movement also to understand all that goes into bringing our food to the table. We will do some fun choreographies through songs on food recipes (making milkshakes, making sandwiches, etc). We will also explore the celebration of harvest festivals through dance. Children will be introduced to the flow of the class through movement games, music, dances, focus work (breath, isolations, listening to rhythms) and stories.
Under this unit, we will explore the idea of sharing all that we have learnt throughout this course. We will dive deeper into the performance aspect and learn more about audience etiquette and work on presentation skills.

How do you conduct dance classes online?
Dance sessions are conducted online on our custom-built interactive video platform called Funroom! They are live interactive sessions between learners and facilitators where dance is taught integrating images, illustrations, videos and games/activities making it so much more fun!
