Introduction & Rules of Chess8 Lessons

The unit delves into schematic movement, restriction and capture of chess pieces. Learners shall apply special rules, Stalemate, En Passant, Castling & Pawn Promotion through various puzzles and online games. Active hands-on learning exercises through Play Time! & Quiz Time! helps further strengthen concept acquisition.

Fundamental Knowledge3 Lessons

The unit explores recording the moves and value of chess pieces. Learners shall demonstrate moves for a given set of notations. They shall demonstrate imbalance, exceptions, exchange & sacrifices while solving puzzles. They shall learn about different ways that lead to a draw.

Basic Strategies4 Lessons

The unit engages learners with ways of defending the check, checkmate, and ways of winning the Game. Learners shall solve interesting puzzles on moving, blocking, capturing, check, defending a check, checkmating a lone king, and winning strategies.

Phases of the Game3 Lessons

The unit emphasises on stages of the game. Strategies of Attack: Identifying & Defending and ways of defense shall be taken up. Learners shall solve interesting puzzles on attack and ways of defense- moving, blocking & supporting.

Advanced Strategies3 Lessons

The unit helps learners deduce the importance of bringing out the chess pieces on time and importance of the center in the game. Learners shall solve interesting puzzles on Winning a game with material advantage, overwhelming the opponent in the game, rule of the square, and pawn promotion.

Online Tournament3 Lessons

The unit is a conduit for learners to showcase their expertise in the game of chess. It helps learners demonstrate their competence on winning tactics & strategies. They shall participate in online tournaments organized by Crejo.Fun. They shall play matches with learners of different batches. There shall be emphasis on move analysis. Learners shall be awarded Certificate of Merit for their performance in the Tournament.

How many sessions are conducted every week?

We understand that children have different schedules and hence we have created 2 options. You can either choose to do 12 sessions in a month with 3 sessions per week or do 24 sessions in a month with 5 sessions per week. If you want to have fun 6 days a week, feel free to choose 2 activities alternating every 3 days a week!

What is the price for each summer camp?

Our summer camp is attractively priced to maximise fun at minimum price. You can visit the summer camp pages to see the price as per the duration and sessions that suit you.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Does my child need to have prior knowledge of chess to be eligible for the course?

Prior knowledge of chess is not required to enroll into the course. Our course is designed to help learners commence their learning from the basics of the game. They will build a strong foundation for playing chess online with players across the globe.

Does my child require a chessboard to enrol into the session?

No. A learner does not require a chessboard as the learner would be playing chess online.
