This unit, we will learn the concept of contrast in shapes, colours, and lines. Techniques such as composition, collage and zentangle will be covered. Tracing and scissoring techniques are some additional techniques they will use to create their artwork. Kids will create an artwork inspired by artist Henri Matisse.
This unit will focus on the principle of Balance through concepts of symmetry, asymmetry, and tessellation. Techniques, which include, abstract art, flat technique, and tracing will be taught to the kids. Artworks inspired by artists, such as MC Escher, Piet Mondrian, and Jamini Roy will be created by the kids through this unit.
Principle of Emphasis, also called as the focal point, is the focus of this unit. Concept of typography, emphasis with Colours, and Shapes will be taught to the kids. Colour blending, 3D art, and repetition will be covered in artowork creation inspired by artists such as Charlotte Taylor.
The principle of repetition is taught through concepts of paradox patterns, repetition in shape, colours, and cityscape. Optical Illusion, Opaque technique, and painterly strokes are the techniques the kids will learn and create some wonderful artworks.
The principle of Proportion is taught through concepts of figure drawing, still life, and exaggeration. Techniques of freehand brush strokes, headcount technique and brushpen technique will be covered. Kids will create many artworks including the one inspired by artist Edvard Munch's style of work.
This unit is a storm of movements with concept of Dynamic Optical Movement, Static Optical Movement, and Implied Movement. Along with other techniques, the mark making and impasto will be the highlight of this unit. Artists Bridget Riley, Vincent Van Gogh, and Keith Haring will inspire the artworks created in this unit.
Principle of Variety is taught through concepts of variety in lines, geometric shapes, and a nightscape. Techniques of mandala art and oil resist will be covered.
Unity, an important principle of art, is taught through the concepts of geometrical shapes, colors, lines, and patchwork. Architectural drawing, one stroke painting, and tessellation are some of the techniques covered in this unit.
Social - Collaborate and participate in art and allied discussions and unite over common interest and passion for art.
Physical - Improve coordination and dexterity to demonstrate drawing and painting strokes by developing a habit of consistent practice.
Intellectual - Develop planning, problem solving, spatial reasoning, estimation and focus alongside.
